Do Electric Cars Have a Future?

15.08.2019

American designers and engineers have expressed their skeptical opinions about the future of electric cars. Specifically, in the research of the WardsAuto magazine has been expressed doubt  if auto industry would succeed to follow the energy efficiency standards set by the United States for 2025.

Two-thirds of almost 40,000 magazine subscribers have expressed very little interest in electric vehicles, while the popularity of high-volume trucks is growing.
Although electrification and a radical change in the direction of the auto industry are topical issues, the facts say otherwise. For example, according to the magazine, in the first half of the current year, out of 8.4 million new registered cars in the US, only 1.5% were electricity, 81% of which were Tesla.

Compared to other forms of electrification, 100% electric vehicles receive the most attention and the greatest resources, despite what many consider to be not the best choice.
