Buying a used car - what to look for?

Buying a used car is a form of investment and sometimes  it causes headaches. If you decide to buy a used car, don't let this choice be a "cat in the bag", do not buy something for which you have not checked the basic quality features. Buying a used car not only involves direct payment but also transfers ownership, mandatory service, and some sudden repairs. Buying a used car is not an everyday thing, which means it takes a little more patience and attention.

1. Make sure the car is not stolen
No matter how much we trust the sellers of the vehicles, we advise you to check that the vehicle has not been stolen. Call auto locksmith, which will check the lock, or check with competent authorities.

2. On-site master
Do not let your reputable vehicle appearance prevail, especially if you are buying on a car dealership. Remember the saying, "Whoever buys a car on a car dealership has come to be cheated." Of course, it may not be true, nor will it be taken as a rule, but there is always a chance that you will "run into" a car to whom not known the previous steps. For this reason, it would be advisable to bring a good master to the site to look at the situation.

3. View of the hood
Very often the hood and door are the main indicators of an earlier car crash. Pay close attention to potential traces of paint, git, so that the doors and hood fit perfectly into the construction of the entire vehicle.

4. Official service
Although there is a service booklet or seller's guaranties on regularly performed service and its results, we still advise you to take your car to a large service immediately after purchase, where the timing belt and often the water pump and pk belt will be replaced. It means to make an additional investment, but also a guarantee of your safety in the initial phase of driving your used car.

Keep in mind that it is an used car, and even if something breaks down after a small and large service, don't blame yourself.
